Psalm 27:13 -"I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

Luke 18:1 - "And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint."

Hebrews 12:3 - "For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds."

Isaiah 40:31 - "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Are you undergoing a time of perplexity?
Do you feel that your enemies are numerous, mighty, and formidable?
Are your troubles tedious and grievous?
Is your spirit overwhelmed?
Are you weary from prayers that long appear to be unanswered?
Have you given in to doubt, fear, unbelief, and discouragement?
Are you feeling tired, sick, and exhausted from the continuous battle?

If this describes you, then you are FAINTING or are about to FAINT.

In His Word, the Lord Jesus admonished us that we "...ought...not to faint."(Luke 18:1).
Hebrews 12:3 mentions being wearied and fainting in our minds.
Isaiah 40:31 talks about walking and not fainting.
And, in Psalm 27:13 David mentioned, "I had fainted..."

"I HAD FAINTED..." - David said that this would have happened to him, yet something stood in its way.  His enemies were determined to destroy him. He knew that. Yet, in spite of the vicious attacks against him from his enemies, he placed his total confidence in God as his only support. He believed that God would uphold him. He trusted that he would see "the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." He was confident that God would surely show him the tokens of His good favor toward him as a servant of the Lord.

Oh! Child of God! Do as David did! Place your total trust and confidence in God this day and "believe to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." God will surely come through for you as He did for David for He is no respecter of persons. Do not let your heart and flesh fail. GOD IS FAITHFUL! He will see you through this trial unto Victory! He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

In Luke 18:1 the Lord Jesus gave us the means to prevent FAINTING or growing weary in our walk with Him. He said, "...men ought always to pray, and not to faint." It is needful that at all times and in every place we always maintain a spirit of prayer. We must continue instant in prayer. It must be our constant work. It is our privilege and a great honor to pray, but it is also our duty. We sin if we neglect to do so. Though prayers seem not to be answered, we must not grow weary. We must persevere. We must have patience. We cannot lose heart. It is through faith and patience that we will inherit the promises(Hebrews 6:12).

CONSIDER JESUS. - Hebrews 12:3 tells us to "consider Him Who endured such contradiction against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." CONSIDER JESUS. Look what He went through, yet He never allowed any of of the opposition, gainsaying, strife, and rebellion of the Jews to deter Him from the course that God had set before Him. Don't allow the attacks of the enemy against you and your family to cause you to grow weary, fainthearted, and disheartened. Bear your trials as Jesus bore His. Pursue the path of duty. Conquer all through patience and perseverance just as Jesus did. Keep on keeping on for the Lord. God will surely see you through from Glory to Glory, Faith to Faith, Strength to Strength, Grace to Grace, and Victory unto Victory.

There is an allusion here to the contenders in the Grecian games who, when they grew weary or exhausted in bodily strength or courage, would yield their palm to their opponents. This was a sure sign of defeat. O Saint of God! Do not allow the enemy of your soul to cause you to become disheartened through your circumstances and to yield the palm of your hand in sure defeat. CONSIDER JESUS today. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Focus on Jesus, Your Refuge and Strength. He is your Fortress and High Tower from the enemy. Lean on those everlasting arms. Don't Give Up on the Brink of a Miracle! God is Still on the Throne!

WAIT UPON THE LORD! - Wait in Great Expectation. Wait for His help. Trust in Him. Place all of your hope and confidence in Him. He will surely see you through. As you WAIT UPON HIM, He will renew your Strength. He will change it. He will alter it. He will revive it and renew it. He will cause it to flourish once again. He will restore what the devil stole from you. You will once again become strong in faith. You will be able to successfully contend with your spiritual foes. You will be able to run and not grow weary; walk and not faint. You will once again be vigorous, elevated, and unwearied. You will find a power is yours that you never imagined possible.

As you WAIT UPON THE LORD, you will mount up with wings as eagles. The ancients believed that the eagle lived to a very old age. Every tenth year it would fly near the sun. When it could no longer stand the heat, it would fall down into the sea, cast off its old feathers,  and renew its feathers and with them its youth.  This continued onward until the hundredth year when the eagle would fall into the sea for the last time
and die.

Even so, as you WAIT UPON THE LORD, you will mount up with wings as the eagle. You will put forth fresh feathers so to speak as the moulting eagle. You will renew your feathers and with them your youth - strength and vigor. You will then be able to "run, and not be weary...walk, and not faint."(Isaiah 40:31)

God has given us the answer for FAINTING or growing weary in trials. We are to believe that, like David, we shall SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD in the land of the living. God will surely reveal Himself to us right where we are at. We are to make it our constant duty to PRAY without ceasing. We are to CONSIDER JESUS - keep our focus on Him at all times and upon the Goal set before us.  And lastly, we are to WAIT UPON THE LORD in great expectation. He will exchange our Strength for His.

There is no need for us to ever yield the palm of our hand to our adversary as a sure sign of surrender and defeat. God has given us guidelines as outlined in His Word to bring us unto Victory. May we follow His dictates this day and receive the Blessing that is at the end of the road awaiting us all if we will not FAINT and grow weary in well-doing.

Galatians 6:9 - "AND LET US NOT BE WEARY IN WELL-DOING: FOR IN DUE SEASON WE SHALL REAP, IF WE FAINT NOT."
